M.E.I.S.A.
M.E.I.S.A. replaces the former MBA (Music Business Association) club. M.E.I.S.A. is the Music and Entertainment Industry Student Association, an organization comprised of college and university students, which have chapters nation-wide. By having a M.E.I.S.A. Chapter, and being a member of M.E.I.S.A., students can gain both experience and the opportunity to network with industry professionals through local, regional, and national activities and events.
Activities include a Fall semester trip to New York City, where a group of 30 students travel by bus to NYC to visit various music companies, studios, record labels, publishing companies, and venues to talk with music industry professionals, learning about the company they work for or started, what they do on a daily basis, and to discuss current music issues. The club also makes a similar trip to Los Angeles where students visit music companies in that area.
For more information, please contact faculty advisor, Andrea Johnson.
